Users can add comments on the pages of a course if comments have been enabled. This provides an opportunity for course feedback or allows users to discuss issues covered in a course.
To allow users to leave comments on a course, you must first "Allow Comments" in the Course Settings - see how to update your course settings here: Course Settings
Once comments have been allowed on a course, your users will see a Comments section at the bottom of each page.
Users will be able to write a comment and post it, where it will then appear with their Name and time of posting.
When viewing a course, you can see which pages have comments on them by looking at the page list on the left. Pages with comments will have a speech icon next to them.
When editing a course, comments will be indicated at the bottom of each page in a speech bubble.
You can click on the speech bubble to view and delete comments on that page.
