Where is my Certificate?

If you haven't received a Certificate for completing your course there are a few things you should check.

Some common reasons you haven't received your certificate are listed below. Not completing any of these will mean your certificate is not issued by the system. A quick review of your activities will let you know if there is anything that needs to be completed. Once you've checked, if you are still not sure what the problem is, contact your site administrator or Intuto for further help. 

Reasons you haven't received your certificate yet:

You haven't completed all of the courses required to receive your certificate

There are 2 ways you can check that you have completed all of the courses online to receive your certificate;

From the Content page

Click on Content up in the top banner.

On the top right of the Content page you will see a drop down saying All my Content.

Click this and change it to the course you are waiting for a certificate from.

Check that all of the courses showing have the Progress set to Completed.

Looking at your Profile

Click on the cog icon on the top right when logged in.

Select My Profile.

On the left hand side select My Certificates.

You will see your completed certificates up the top of the page and the other certificates you are enrolled in but haven't received your certificate for at the bottom of the page. Check the collection name in bold and head back to the Content page to search for your courses by Collection to see what courses you still need to complete.

Your certificate isn't sent out automatically after completion

Your administrator may have set up the certificate to be manually released, this means that there is usually extra content you need to complete offline.

Once you have completed the offline work your administrator will release the certificate if you have passed.

You can check if this applies to you by following the steps below.

Click on the cog icon on the top right when logged in.

Select My Profile.

On the left hand side select My Certificates.

You will see a certificate with the status Pending Approval, this means that your certificate is waiting to be released by your site administrator.

If you do not receive your certificate or notice about when your certificate will arrive after completing all required work online and offline within 10-15 business days, please contact your site administrator.

 

Your course hasn't been marked by an administrator

Some courses need to be manually marked. Your course will show as In Progress until it has been marked and your grade has been set by your administrator. If you have achieved the pass mark your course will be set to Completed and your certificate will be issued.

If you don't pass your course then you will not be issued your certificate. Check with your site administrator to see if you can sit the course again.

Your current certificate hasn't expired yet

Some courses that award certificates require you to resit them every so often. You will only receive your new certificate after your current certificate expires. You can check your expiry date by taking the steps below.

Click on the cog icon on the top right when logged in.

Select My Profile.

On the left hand side select My Certificates.

You will be able to click on View to see a preview of your certificate to check the expiry date. You can also click on the PDF button to download your certificate to check the expiry date.

certificate-check-expiry-dateIf your certificate hasn't expired yet then your new certificate will be issued after the current one has expired. Double check you have completed all of the content first otherwise you won't get your new certificate.

 

Your course doesn't have a certificate awarded for completing it

Not all courses are set up to award you with a certificate once you finish. Here is how you can check.

Click on the cog icon on the top right when logged in.

Select My Profile.
