Creating a Course

Creating your courses is easy with Intuto's inbuilt authoring tool. Whether you create a course from scratch or from one of our templates, you'll have content ready to send out to your learners in just a few clicks.

On your content page you'll see a + icon in the top right of the screen. This is the Create Something New button.

Course Name: When you create a new course it will be called "A course with no name" by default. Give your course a name by editing this text at the top of the Course Editor. The name you enter here is the name your learners will see on the Content page.

Page Name: The first page that generates by default will always be called Page 1. Click the page name at the top of the page section to edit the text. You'll see your new page name reflected in the page list on the left.

Text Box: A blank text box will generate on your first page. Type in your text or copy and past it from an external source - remembering to clear any formatting by holding shift while doing so. Use the text formatting buttons along the top of the text box to format your text. Find out more about adding text to a course here: How do I add text to a course?

Add other material to your course using the buttons along the bottom of the page:

Below your first page you'll see options to add more pages. You can:

You can preview your course at any time by clicking the Preview button in the top right of the editor.

Once you have added your material click Next> in the top right to go to your Course Settings

Use a Template

Intuto has a library of 'off the shelf' courses called Templates. Templates can be used as they are, or modified to be specific to your organisation. In either case they form a solid base of content for you to share with your users.

Create a Course Using a SCORM File

A SCORM course is a course built in an authoring tool external to Intuto. These courses can be loaded into Intuto and then managed within the platform.

Note: The option to create a course using a SCORM file will only be visible if you have the SCORM feature turned on for your site. Contact support@intuto.com if you would like this feature added to your site.

Create a Collection

A collection is a group of individual courses. A collection can be used to create a learning pathway, simplify enrolments, and organise reporting.
